Egoneis.com – Digitalising Purchases to Save Parents Time & Offer Convenience

Egoneis.com is a website and e-shop created for the Parent’s Association of the 5th Primary School of Aglantzia. The site serves the purpose to inform parents/guardians on issues related to the school and their children. Parents can find information online about school news, events, and other activities as well as make easy and safe digital payments with the eShop.

PHILOSHOPIC is contributing to this project on an on-going basis, at no charge, as it shares the interest of the Parent Association in helping children in their daily school lives by ensuring a safe and happy school environment. PHILOSHOPIC has developed and maintains the Association’s digital platform that enables them to have a digital presence, communicate with its audience online, and help make secure transactions. In other words, parents can now buy school clothes, memberships, photos, and event tickets online, read school news in a digestible format as well as download and print important documents from home. In fact, within the first three weeks 20% of the school’s parents have used the e-shop to buy clothing or pay for the student annual insurance!

We are honoured to be taking part and contribute to this project, and hope that we continue to find opportunities to have a positive and meaningful impact in the world.

PHILOSHOPERS at the International JavaScript Conference

JavaScript can be found everywhere. In fact, it’s considered as one of the most popular programming languages used by developers and industry leaders across the globe. Most digital businesses can’t live without it since they depend on the programming language to run websites, mobile apps, servers, implement machine learning and more! Learning JavaScript has therefore never been a more valuable skill to learn and invest in because of its omnipresence and endless capabilities. 

That is why we had our Front-End Developer, Andreas, travel to Munich and attend the International JavaScript Conference. These opportunities offer our employees the chance for fun and inspiring experiences, exposure to the world, engage in their personal development activities and career growth, and network with the development community. However, it was also a valuable opportunity to learn and find out from 60+ industry experts about the direction in which the trends of software development are moving, which is a change we want to be a part of and implement in our on-going and future projects.

PHILOSHOPIC Inspiring the New Generation

Contributing to the wellness of new generations means that the lives of people in the present can be improved, help the world to become a better place and that future generations can live much better lives. That is why it is so important for us at Philoshopic to be committed to having a positive impact in all aspects of society, including educating, and guiding new generations.

PHILOSHOPIC’s director and visionary leader, Demetris Constantinou, recently presented to students at the Falcon School in Nicosia, Cyprus. His lecture on “Life beyond School as a Computer Scientist” engaged students with the value of computer science, what it is like to be a computer scientist, how to become one, insights on the current job market and trends, and shared his own experience, including his first steps, and career trajectory.
